Our Favorite Park

I've written a post about this park before. I believe I called it the Sports Complex or something. I think the actually name is Comprehensive Park. Anyway, we LOVE it. It's huge with lots for the kids to see/do. Steve likes to play basketball. We need to bring the kids bikes there soon because there are tons of paths.
I brought the kids one morning, and we fed the birds, walked along the river, and saw a ton of fish and turtles.

The park sits right next to this view:
Lots of space to run around!

Cafe and Bowling

On our last day with Steve before he left for 6 weeks we decided to try out the cafe above the gelato place that we went to a couple months ago.
Here'a picture of the gelato place with the view. Obviously, the cafe has a better view, but I didn't get a good picture:

The Cafe:

Veggie Curry, soup, and salad...all very good!

It was sort of icky out, so we decided to go bowling on base. It was our first time going as a family. Avery really enjoyed it, and Noah liked it for the first half of the game.=) Then he got tired of it.

Japanese Tea?

Our neighbors have been inviting us over for "Japanese tea." The kids really like going over there. They have a big yard and lots to look at.

This day we had some tea and goodies inside. The tea is basically a green tea, but they have a special way of making it.

Then we got to see them at work on their pottery.
 And play with some
And tour some of their "studio." The kilns:

Another day we went over there we ate outside
drinking tea from the traditional bowl
Their friend who was my age came over and made the tea

Then she showed me how to make a bowl. How fun (even though I was NOT good at it!)

Then Noah wanted to try...=)

They know all the good bakeries. These are the types of cakes they have or bring over to us. So yummy!
