Well, it's almost time for the new school year to start. We officially go back this Wednesday even though I've been off and on all summer. It's bittersweet Last year was so crazy that I pretty much abandoned this blog, and we didn't explore too many new places either. This year we're hoping to change that! This weekend it was raining, but it didn't keep us from exploring.
Avery in her new rain boots.
I took the kids to Aeon and Noah got a sweet ride. Avery pushed it the whole time!
We typically loung around Saturday morning, so here they are!
Steve works up at Hansen now and on one of his runs discovered a cool splash park. He knew the kids would love it, which they did.
We finally ventured up to Camp Schawb and ate at Sumo Burrito. A-maz-ing! It was right on the beach too.
We wanted to eat at a place called The Green Cafe Cafe, but they were closed! Oh well, the scenery was beautiful. Right up in the mountains, and we knew we'd find another cafe close by.
This is how we discovered Cafe Gyutto. Such a cute little place. We have come to just LOVE the food here. Everything is unique. So many independently owned unique restaurants.
This place was also in the mountains surrounded by trees. But the best part - the trains! Our kids (especially Noah) were in heaven.
The food was great too.
Healthy little vegetable noodle soup and rice.
Brown sugar filled crepes and herbal tea. This may have been the best part.
We have grand plans this upcoming year. We want to explore something new each weekend and even do some off island trips. It's going to be a great year!
