Beach Clean Up - One Bag at a Time

We often walk "through the farmland" to get to this little beach nearby. It's all so pretty, until you get to the end by the rocks. There was so much trash washed up, and we just felt the need to do something. We ordered some "trash picker uppers" off of Amazon and filled up a bag on our last walk out there. Our goal is to fill one up for each walk we go on (as a whole family....I don't think I could handle the trash and the double stroller).  We figure it has to help somewhat!

We made a little chart to keep track of how many bags we fill. It's our little family community service.=)

Happy little Avery after she put on the penguin sticker.

It sounds silly, but one of our biggest challenges here has been trash. Everything has to be separated and in very specific bags otherwise they won't pick it up. And sometimes you'll do everything right and they still won't pick it up. It's almost a no wonder why people just dump their trash everywhere!
Luckily, we have the towers on base just a few minutes away where we can throw our trash away if it doesn't get picked up.
