I laugh because I'm definitely no photographer by any means. I have learned to appreciate and recognize great photography from working with so many in my crochet business. However, I do love to play with my camera and all the settings and hope to learn more some day. About a year ago I took a couple photography classes in San Diego and looked through a couple informational books, so I know some. I know what all the functions stand for and what they do, but I still struggle with knowing what settings to use when. For example, what if you're under a tree - half shady, half sunny? What white balance do you use? Maybe auto? Also, I'm very ammuture at photo editing. That is fun to play with, but I normally don't do much because I don't what to make the picture look worse. I love both lenses I have (18-55 kit lense and a 50mm f1.8), but I have a more advanced 28-78mm f2.8 on my wish list.=)
The kids have been great at letting me practice on them. After all, what better models and inspiration could I have??
