The kids played with our neighbor's (the Pottery store owners) grandkids for awhile. They're over there a lot because their parents help out with the business I believe. Avery was sad when they went inside. She kept saying that she wanted her friend.=) The little boy sure loved Noah's tricycle. Luckily, Noah (and Avery) happily shared it.
Later that day they brought us over a tray of Okinawa Soba Noodles. We just had to combine the broth with the noodles, pork, and fish. Very flavorful and yummy. I'm a big fan of those soba noodles. They sell them at the commissary and you can add any veggies/sauce that you want. We are so lucky to have such gracious neighbors. Every time they come outside Avery runs over to me and says "I want to talk to the lady." lol They know very little English, so it's been inspiring us even more to learn some Japanese!!
They left this note on the tray.
I made pumpkin cheesecake for dessert, and gave them one as well. We had pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving and New Years, and pumpkin french toast for Christmas. Lots of pumpkin in our traditions!
