This is what Avery's drawing of a person looks like these days:
(Part of) Our Family
One day I came in and she had written about 5 big letter A's on her chalkboard. I was so excited, as that was the first time I had seen her write a letter. I wanted to take a picture of it, but she wouldn't let me. Instead, she wanted to write her name. This is what she got : "Avy" backwards. She can probably write more letters for all I know. She's a smarty pants, but she can be very stubborn too. She likes to do things herself, with no help from me. She has known all her letters and sounds since before she was 2 (perhaps from Leapfrog??!=), but everytime in the past year and a half I tried to get her to write (or draw for that matter) anything, she refused. So this is a HUGE step for her.
More fun activities! Such a fun age.=)
Waffle Cone Christmas Tree
Using glue...the right way!
Noah's fun too, not too into the crafts, though. Avery wasn't either until now.He would rather be doing this:
We usually get the mail after we drop off Avery, and sometimes we stop at the PX....it's never crowded on our little base, so I let him play in the toy area and this is what I find him doing. Every. time. I think I know what Santa is going to get him!
Here's my attempt at some craftiness this season. Thanks Pinterest! I do like these little paper trees I made to hang in the window.
Not the biggest fan of how my yarn tree turned out. Oh well!
