Courtney Fest

Steve was in Hawaii for a week (We definitely should have gone with him...I'll post pictures of his trip later), and it happen to be a very wet week here. Lots of clouds and rain. But the day he got back the sun came out, and it's now back up in the 70s. Yeah! We went to Courtney Fest when he was gone. The kids had fun, mostly just playing in all the trucks, which they've done at Pendleton many times. We loved getting "Yakisoka" which is a popular noodle dish here. Basically just noodles, veggies, and their special sauce. My kind of meal! I usually hunt down a fork somewhere, or they automatically give them to Americans, but we just got chopsticks this time. I thought it'd be fun to try and perfect my skill. Didn't go too bad, and I was feeding the kids too. Avery and Noah try to use them and usually get something on their chopsticks. It's cute to see them try.  They open the festival up to the locals, so there were lots of people there. The Japanese were going in the PX to get Doritos and stuff. Buying anything American out in town is very expensive, but I guess they love American stuff here!
