Sushi on a Conveyer Belt!

A few days ago we visited a preschool for Avery (which went very well...will post about it later), and went to a sushi restaurant afterwards which was recommended to us by the Housing Agency we used. I find that about half the restaurants here have English translations and half don't. This one was entirely Japanese, but there were pictures by each item which helps tremendously. You sit down and order from the screen at your table anytime throughout the meal. Then each item (each item is only about 100-200 Yen each...not bad at all) stops at your table via the upper conveyor belt. It only takes a couple of minutes, so we ended up ordering about 10 different "dishes" throughout the meal. You'll notice in the pictures a lower conveyor belt. All those plates are completely up for grabs if you see something you like and what it right away. We picked a couple of those as well. The 100 Yen dishes have a different plate color than the 200 Yen dishes. A staff member comes over at the end of your meal to count your plates and take your payment. Very unique place! Steve loved getting a bunch of sushi rolls while I enjoy the Hot Miso Soup (noodle soup shown in picture), cucumber rolls, and cheesecake. Avery liked the noodles as well, but Noah wasn't a fan of the food, but he was completely entertained watching the food go around the restaurant the whole time. We got so much food it seemed like and it only cost us about 1500 Yen (or about $20). Not a bad deal considering a lot of places have been really expensive.
